Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko took part in the ceremony to mark the start of construction work of a cable plant by France’s Nexans.
“Everyone was convincing us that until the war continued no investor would come to Ukraine. We are convincing with our patient labor, creation of investment climate, providing for radical changes and reforms in the country and decisive actions, including by the head of the regional administration that now one should invest in Ukraine”, Poroshenko said at the construction site, the press service of the head of state reported.
He said that German and French owners voted for Ukraine’s independence investing their money in the country.
Poroshenko thanked investors for their trust in Ukraine.
“The fact that today investors using their money, their euros and UAH vote for our future means that everything would be good with us. We would win at the front and protect the country”, Poroshenko said.
This is the third plant in Ukraine of Nexans Concern. The plant will be built in Brody, Lviv region. The plant could be launched in June 2017. It would create 2,000 jobs. (Interfax/Business World Magazine)
