Azneft production association of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR plans to drill 11 new wells by the year end at the Gunashli and Chilov offshore fields, said a SOCAR message posted on its website.
SOCAR plans to drill seven wells at shallow-water part of the Gunashli field and four wells at the Chilov field, which are being developed by the “28 May” Oil and Gas Production Unit, according to the message.
“Three inactive wells were brought back to operation at the fields developed by the “28 May” Oil and Gas Production Unit, six facilities were established and commissioned, and construction of 17 facilities is underway”, said the message.
Over the past five years, the well stock of the “Oil Rocks” Oil and Gas Production Unit has increased by a third. The unit has commissioned nine new wells since early 2016.
The Narimanov Oil and Gas Production Unit established five new facilities during the year, and another seven will be commissioned until the year-end, according to the SOCAR message. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
