As of July 21, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the areas of 8.1 million ha (on the same date in 2015 – 6.7 million ha), or 16.2% of the planned areas (47.3 million ha). The produced volumes reached 32.7 million tons of grains, with the average yield of 4.07 t/ha (in 2015 – 24.8 million tons with the yield of 3.69 t/ha), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported.
In particular, in the Southern Federal District agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout 4 million ha. The produced volumes reached 18 million tons of grains, with the average yield of 4.49 t/ha.
The North Caucasian District harvested 7.8 million tons of grains throughout 1.9 million ha. The yield totaled 4.17 t/ha.
The Central District harvested 3 million tons of grains throughout 749 thousand ha, with the yield at 3.98 t/ha.
At the same time, agrarians of the Volga District harvested grain crops throughout 965.4 thousand ha and produced 2.6 million tons of grains. The average yield reached 2.73 t/ha.
Generally, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat in the country throughout 6.3 million ha. The produced volumes reached 26.7 million tons, with the yield of 4.22 t/ha.
Russia harvested 3.5 million tons of winter and spring barley throughout 947.8 thousand ha. The average yield totaled 3.66 t/ha.
Russia also harvested winter rapeseed throughout 50.3 thousand ha, and produced 97.9 thousand tons of the oilseed, with the average yield of 1.95 t/ha. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
