In 2016/2017 MY, the export volumes of Russian grains will exceed 36.1 million tons, which will become a new historical record for the country, the General Director at LLC ProZerno Vladimir Petrychenko declared. As a reminder, in 2015/2016 MY the export volumes reached 34.6 million tons of grains.
Therefore, Russian wheat can keep its leading positions on the global market, achieved in 2015-2016 period. Although, such forecast can be assured only in terms of cancellation of the destructive export duties on wheat, acting for 2 years in Russia, the expert added.
In particular, in 2016/2017 MY wheat exports from Russia will reach 26 million tons, corn – 4.7 million tons, and barley – 4.3 million tons.
Thus, corn surely becomes the second significant export grain in Russia, although the domestic market increases its position every year, said V. Petrychenko. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
