Vinnytsia National Technical University has received a license for opening “Arms and military equipment” specialty. The decision was adopted due to the support of the state concern UkrOboronProm, that officially initiated and supported the new specialty creation.
“UkrOboronProm brings back prestige to defense industry employment. We contribute to education process improvement and introduction of required disciplines and professions – in cooperation with universities and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Today the state concern is targeting young and ambitious professionals. On the other hand, we are aware of the fact that our country has huge intellectual potential, so our common goal is to create favorable conditions for fulfilling this potential in Ukraine”, – said UkrOboronProm deputy director general for development Artur Kheruvymov.
The state concern signed Memorandum of Cooperation with Vinnytsia National Technical University in October last year. According to the agreement, UkrOboronProm will use educational and research potential of the university, while assisting in specialist training, organizing onsite and practical training for students. UkrOboronProm specialists will be involved in definition of course and diploma topics for students. Graduates will have a chance to get a job at UkrOboronProm enterprises.
UkrOboronProm is successfully cooperating with almost 50 Ukrainian universities, attracting scientific potential to solving production issues. Among them Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. (UkrOboronProm/Business World Magazine)
