Kazakhstan produced nearly 74.63 tons of unprocessed, semi-processed and powder gold in January-December 2016, up by 17.3% YoY, the Kazakh Statistics Committee said.
According to the committee, the fine gold production increased by 21.6%, to 37.74 tons.
The committee said the production of unprocessed, semi-processed and powder silver dropped by 9.8% YoY, to 1,180 tons.
The fine silver production was 1,176 tons, down by 10% YoY.
In December 2016 unprocessed, semi-processed and powder gold production in Kazakhstan hit 7.04 tons, up by 13.4% YoY. The production of unprocessed, semi-processed and powder silver reached 87.45 tons in December 2016, up by 23.9% YoY. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
