The government will allocate UAH 150 million from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression to restore 11 apartment buildings in Zaporizhzhia region damaged by Russian attacks.
The relevant changes are provided for by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, prepared by the Ministry of Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine.
Of the total amount of funding, UAH 43.3 million will be directed to increasing the financing of two already approved projects for the restoration of damaged residential buildings. Another UAH 106.7 million is provided for the implementation of 9 new housing restoration projects in Zaporizhzhia.
The new projects have already been entered into the Unified Digital Integrated Information and Analytical System for Managing the Reconstruction Process and included in the Unified Project Portfolio of Public Investments of Zaporizhzhia Region.
“Restoring housing in frontline regions remains one of our priorities. Zaporizhzhia is constantly exposed to Russian attacks that damage and destroy residential buildings. Our task is to return people the opportunity to live in their own homes as quickly as possible. We are allocating UAH 150 million for 11 houses and continue working with the regions on projects that require priority restoration,” said Mykola Kalashnyk, Minister of Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine.
Financing will be provided from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. The implementation of the projects is planned for 2026.
It is expected that the allocation of funds will allow the completion and implementation of the restoration of 11 residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia region, damaged as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. (Infrastructure Ministry)
