Russian car producer Sollers has started UAZ exports to China and Vietnam and plans to enter the market of Chile as well, CEO Vadim Shvetsov reported.
Asia, Middle East and Africa are the main markets for the company’s exports, he said.
“We supply some cars to Latin America. We’ve started supplies to China. The volumes for the Chinese market are modest. Our product will get a certain share there, because it differs from others by design. We’ve started supplies to Vietnam. We have traditional supplies to Egypt. Next year we plan to start supplies to Chile”, he said.
The company plans to double its exports next year, Shvetsov said. (Prime/Business World Magazine)
