Qualitative characteristics of Ukrainian grains supplied to foreign markets completely meet the international standards, the Head of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumers Protection Volodymyr Lapa said.
According to him, the export trading continues developing, and Ukrainian grain products are in demand on the global market. Therefore, Ukrainian grains have the required qualitative indices, the products meet the necessary phytosanitary standards, and many countries can purchase the products without restrictions.
Since the beginning of the current season and as of August 16, Ukraine provided phytosanitary certification to 4.884 million tons of grain crops for exports, including 2.432 million tons of wheat (1.166 million tons of milling wheat and 1.266 million tons of feed wheat), 1.899 million tons of barley, 444 thousand tons of corn, and 108 thousand tons of other grains. Also, the State Service certified the quality of 339.3 thousand tons of oilseeds, including 191.5 thousand tons of rapeseed, and 147.8 thousand tons of soybeans. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
