Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, called on businesses to invest in the restoration and development of Kharkiv region. She made this statement during the Kharkiv Restart investment forum held in Kyiv on September 19.
The Forum discussed attracting investments in the restoration and development of Kharkiv. According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, it is necessary to develop projects and invest in them now.
The event was attended by Ukrainian and foreign companies, including those already operating in Kharkiv and those considering doing so.
Among the guests and organisers of the Forum were Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, MPs David Arakhamia and Danylo Hetmantsev and Oleh Synyehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
In her welcoming speech, the Head of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories addressed the residents of Kharkiv region: “I am here to show you my deep respect and honour. You have done the impossible – you have survived the first days of a full-scale war, you have become real Heroes. I am very grateful to you.”
She also noted the courage of the people of Kharkiv. Even in the first months of the russian invasion, they continued to work, live and develop. And the de-occupation of Kharkiv region has given Ukrainians confidence that we can definitely win.
The Deputy Prime Minister addressed Ukrainian and foreign businesses: “Invest in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region. The city alone is home to more than a million people, some 500,000 are internally displaced persons. This is a huge potential for the country. I have faith in Kharkiv region, in Kharkiv entrepreneurs, teachers, doctors – everyone who fights, loves and develops our country.” (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
