Georgia received $535.3 million from abroad in December 2022, up by 133.2% YoY, the National Bank of Georgia said on January 16.
Russia ($317.31 million), Italy ($43.20 million) and the United States ($34.30 million) were the largest remittance senders last month.
Overall, the vast majority (98.2%) of all money transfers from abroad came from 24 countries.
Last month, remittances leaving Georgia totaled $33.8 million, as compared to $33.3 million in December 2021. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
