President Shavkat Mirziyoyev saw the presentation of construction and landscaping projects under way in the capital city. These projects are aimed at the construction of educational, healthcare, trade and service, as well as industrial facilities.
On October 16 last year, Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the construction of the Academy of the State Security Service and the Temurbeklar Maktabi school. Construction of these facilities have now been completed, and the existing buildings of the academy have been reconstructed.
At the end of 2020, Mirziyoyev laid the first stone in the foundation of the University of Geological Sciences. Since then, a large amount of work has been done there: 6 multi-storey structures have been built, 4 buildings have been reconstructed. Currently, the work is nearing completion. Along with the university, there will be branch scientific institutes, a museum of geology, a library, a dormitory and other buildings.
A new complex of buildings of the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction is being built in the Yunusabad district. Two 5-storey academic buildings, an 8-storey administrative building and a 4-storey dormitory are being built. They are scheduled to be put into operation in October this year. At the second stage of the project, social facilities will be built for teachers of the institute, specialists of the research center and their families.
One of the largest projects in the field of education – the New Uzbekistan University, organized in accordance with the presidential decree – will begin training the first students in the upcoming academic year. Separate buildings of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy have been allocated for the university, their modern renovation has been carried out.
A modern campus is to be erected for the New Uzbekistan University.
During a visit to the specialized school of Muhammad al-Khorezmi in 2019, the President instructed to create a branch of the IT park next to it, attract young people there and create broad conditions for improving their experience.
Currently, the construction of the building is nearing completion.
Many projects are also being implemented in the healthcare sector. In particular, a new building for the departments of cardiac surgery, transplantology and neuro-vascular surgery is being built in the Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Care. As a result, modern conditions will be created for these complex surgeries, and high-tech medical care will be provided to an additional 3 thousand patients per year.
