Uzbekistan has launched the export of early cherry varieties to Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, according to the country’s statistical committee.
The transportation and loading of cherries is carried out mainly in the evening, since storing of this product at a high temperature leads to spoilage.
Last year the country exported over 13,000 tons of cherries worth $30 million. The main importers were Russia, China, Ukraine and other neighboring states. (Uzreport/Business World Magazine)
