Ukraine and the People’s Republic of China have signed bilateral agreements on the requirements of honey and rapeseed meal exports from Ukraine to China, according to the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
“During the Seventh Session of the Ukrainian-Chinese Subcommittee on Agricultural Cooperation, held in Beijing on November 27 a Protocol on veterinary and phytosanitary requirements for the export of rapeseed meal from Ukraine to the People’s Republic of China was signed between the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, as well as a Protocol on the requirements for the export of honey from Ukraine to the People’s Republic of China,” reads the report.
The signing of the protocols will facilitate and improve the bilateral trade, diversification of markets between Ukraine and the People’s Republic of China and open new opportunities for Ukrainian business and exporters, as well as strengthen ties between the two countries.
The protocols were signed by Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture – Trade Representative of Ukraine, and Wang Lingjun, Vice Minister of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
