Air Malta, the flag carrier airline of Malta, is launching Malta-Tbilisi flights starting from July 4, announces the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA).
Flights will be carried out every Thursday by an Airbus A320 type aircraft.
“These seasonal regular flights will be carried out until September 18”, said a spokesperson from the GCAA.
A GCAA spokesperson noted that Air Malta planned to increase flight frequency next year depending on how commercially profitable the current season would be.
The GCAA granted a permit to Air Malta on June 14 to carry out regular air service between Tbilisi and Malta.
Air Malta is an air-based airline based out of Malta International Airport, the only airport in Malta that serves the whole of the Maltese Islands, offering up to 40 destinations for passengers.
This year the airline marks its 45th anniversary. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
