BYD Company, the world’s largest manufacturer of electric vehicles and lithium batteries, is considering the possibility of locating its production on the territory of Ukraine with further expansion into the European market.
This was discussed during the meeting of Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan with Isbrand Ho, Managing Director of BYD Europe, the press service of the ministry reports.
“Ukraine has a unique potential for locating production capacities and barrier-free exports to the EU thanks to the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and favorable economic situation,” Isbrand Ho said.
Volodymyr Omelyan invited BYD delegation to visit Ukraine to study domestic market and meet with Ukrainian business representatives for developing further cooperation.
“Ukraine welcomes the desire of the largest manufacturer of electric vehicles and lithium batteries – BYD Company – to seriously consider Ukraine as a springboard for entering the European market,” the minister said. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
