The growth of the GDP in Tajikistan in 2017 amounted to 7.1% compared to 2016, the Tajik Statistics Agency reported.
Tajikistan’s GDP amounted to about 61.1 billion somoni ($6.9 billion) in 2017.
Agriculture, hunting, forestry, fishing and fish farming dominate in the GDP structure, making up 21.1% of the total GDP volume. The share of agriculture increased by 0.4% in 2017.
The industry increased its contribution by 1.9% to 17% in the total GDP structure.
Among other industries with the largest contribution to GDP, the Statistics Agency has classified trade, repair of cars, household goods and personal items, hotels and restaurants – 14%.
Earlier it was reported that Tajikistan’s exports in 2017 increased by 33.3% YoY and the volume of imports decreased by 8.5%.
In 2017 the total volume of trade turnover amounted to $3,973 billion, up by 1.1% YoY. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
