During the first half of 2026, taxpayers included in the Register of Large Payers for 2026 transferred UAH 579.6 billion in taxes, fees and other payments to the Consolidated Budget of Ukraine. This is 48.8% of all tax revenues to the country’s budget.
This was stated by the Acting Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Lesya Karnaukh.
“There are things on which the stability of the country depends no less than on the ability to maintain defense. Proper payment of taxes is something without which the state will also not survive. Almost every second hryvnia of taxes that today comes to the budget of Ukraine is a contribution from big business,” she said.
Compared to the same period in 2025, revenues from large payers increased by UAH 40.1 billion, or 7.4%.
According to the results of January-June 2026, the largest increase in revenues was from:
– Corporate profit tax – by UAH 19.5 billion (+14.6% compared to the corresponding figure last year);
– Personal income tax and levy – by UAH 13.3 billion (+16%);
– Value-added tax – by UAH 9.9 billion (+7.1%);
– Excise tax on excisable goods produced in Ukraine – by UAH 8.6 billion (+15.1%);
– Rent for the use of subsoil of national importance – by UAH 7.1 billion (+35.2%).
The largest increase in tax payments was demonstrated by enterprises in the following industries:
– Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply – +15.9 billion UAH (+30.9%);
– Financial and insurance activities – +15.1 billion UAH (+13.5%);
– Processing industry – +11.3 billion UAH (+9.5%).
“Today, every hryvnia of taxes is of particular importance for the country. The fact that big business, even in wartime, works, develops and increases tax payments speaks of its responsibility and faith in the future of Ukraine. The task of the State Tax Service is to be close to taxpayers: to help find solutions, simplify interaction and build relationships based on trust and partnership. This is how we can achieve results together,” added Lesya Karnaukh. (State Tax Service)
