Since the launch of the Ray of Hope project, solar power plants have been installed and are generating electricity at 56 healthcare facilities, 14 of which are located in frontline regions. The total capacity of the installed equipment is 5,219 kW.
Work is currently underway at 83 additional facilities, with three of them entering the final stage. 123 medical facilities are undergoing tender procedures.
As a reminder, the Ray of Hope project is a joint initiative of the European Commission, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Health, implemented since March 2023 under the mechanism of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, coordinated by the Energy Community Secretariat.
The initiative is aimed to enhance the energy resilience of healthcare facilities by equipping them with solar panels, energy storage systems, and related equipment to ensure a reliable power supply. (Government portal)
