The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to provide an additional subsidy from the state budget in the amount of approximately UAH 1.6 billion to support frontline regions.
The subsidy will enable communities to quickly address the most pressing local issues. This time, local authorities will decide independently where to allocate the funds based on current needs. For example, they may be used for security measures or to ensure a stable heating season.
“Frontline regions are under daily shelling by the russian federation. We must provide local authorities with the tools to address urgent issues “here and now”: repair damage, build protective structures and ensure the work of utility services. We are doing everything we can to make people feel supported and able to get through this challenging time,” said Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
