As a result of a hostile attack by the Russian Federation on Kyiv on the night of December 29, the city’s transport infrastructure was damaged. This is reported by the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration.
Thus, 4 employees and 2 units of special equipment from the Sviatoshynskyi district road-repair municipal enterprise and 8 employees and 6 units of special equipment from the Darnytskyi district road-repair municipal enterprise were involved in the elimination of the consequences. Also, 18 employees and 6 units of special equipment from the Solomyanskyi district road-repair municipal enterprise worked simultaneously at two locations.
During the enemy attack, a tram and a bus that were on the line were damaged by a blast wave. The stop complex was also damaged – the blast wave knocked out part of its glass panels. The contact network of the Kyivpastrans municipal enterprise was not damaged.
Due to the unstable situation in the power system, tram traffic was temporarily suspended in some areas. To ensure transportation, buses were organized to operate according to their routes. At the same time, trams and trolleybuses on the left bank of Kyiv run according to the schedule, and on the right bank, electric transport is gradually restoring its work.
The department emphasizes that during an air alert, some drivers may be in shelters, in accordance with safety rules, which also affects the intervals of public transport. Residents are asked to treat this with understanding. (Minprom)
