The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution amending the Procedure for the Withdrawal and Transfer of Military Property of the Armed Forces. The purpose of the amendments is to regulate the procedure for transferring training (neutralised) weapons from military units to the Centres for the Training of Citizens for the National Resistance and teaching hubs offering educational subject “Defence of Ukraine.”
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has developed the draft resolution to ensure high-quality training of citizens for national resistance under standard educational programs.
In particular, the amendments establish a legal framework for transferring training weapons to support the functioning of teaching hubs at educational institutions where the subject “Defence of Ukraine” is taught.
Key provisions of the resolution:
– The procedure for the alienation and transfer of training (neutralised) weapons from military units to the Centres for the Training of Citizens for National Resistance and municipal educational institutions has been established;
– Ensuring the establishment and replenishment of the material resources and training infrastructure of the Training Centres and teaching hubs offering the subject “Defence of Ukraine,” required for the proper organisation of the educational process;
The adoption of the resolution will contribute to:
– Enhancing the quality of training of citizens for national resistance and strengthening military-patriotic education;
– Developing an adequate base of material resources and training infrastructure for such training. (Government portal)
