Another 414 Ukrainians became the winners of the eighth wave of the Vlasna Sprava programme. They will receive grants to start or expand their businesses worth UAH 99 million. In total, 25,500 Ukrainians have become winners of the programme since its launch and will receive grants worth over UAH 6 billion. The grantees have already paid UAH 7.4 billion in taxes and fees to the budget. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna.
“More than 25,500 Ukrainians have become winners of the Vlasna Sprava programme since its launch and received grants to start or develop their businesses. Every fifth grantee has started a new company, while others are scaling up their businesses, increasing production volumes, expanding the range of products and services, and entering new markets with grant support. In total, the Government has invested UAH 6 billion in small business development through grants under this programme. At the same time, grantees paid UAH 7.4 billion in taxes and fees to the budget. Grant support for entrepreneurs is also an investment in the creation of 47,000 new jobs for Ukrainians,” said Tetiana Berezhna.
Among the recipients of the eighth wave of microgrants, 58% are women, 33% are men, and 9% are legal entities. More than 70% of them have higher education. The majority of grantees are from Kharkiv (46), Lviv (46), Ivano-Frankivsk (29), Vinnytsia (27), Kyiv (27) regions and the city of Kyiv (25). The vast majority of grantees plan to use their microgrant funds to purchase. The vast majority of grantees plan to spend the microgrant funds on purchasing equipment needed to run their business.
The most popular areas in which the Eighth Wave grantees will operate are:
– Wholesale and retail trade, vehicle repair – 146 entrepreneurs;
– Processing industry – 49;
– Temporary accommodation and catering – 49;
