Ukraine increased electricity imports in March by 11% compared to February, to 272,000 MWh.
Hungary became the largest supplier, from which 42% of imported electricity came.
The share of supplies also amounted to: 19% from Slovakia, 18% from Poland, 16% from Romania and the rest – from Moldova.
The increase in imports was recorded in all directions, except for Slovakia. At the same time, in annual terms (compared with March 2024), imports decreased by almost 40%.
In March, Ukraine also doubled its electricity exports – to 76,300 MWh. This was made possible by the increase in generation from solar power plants during daytime hours, which led to a surplus in the energy system. (URP)
