The Government has approved a resolution to reallocate about UAH 6.3 million for the reconstruction of the National Children’s Specialised Hospital “Okhmatdyt”. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet on March 11.
According to him, these funds will be used to carry out urgent emergency and conservation work in two hospital buildings.
“In general, the restoration of Okhmatdyt is a government priority for this year, and we will work consistently on it,” said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister stressed that the restoration of medical infrastructure was constantly in the focus of the Government’s attention.
“We are rapidly rebuilding hospitals and outpatient clinics, as well as modernising medical facilities,” said Denys Shmyhal, adding that according to the World Bank, the needs for reconstruction in the medical sector over the next 10 years would amount to $19.4 billion. (Government portal)
