At a meeting on October 8, the Government of Ukraine allowed the extension of loans under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program to enterprises, the production facilities of which were located in the combat zone or in temporarily occupied territories until December 31, 2026.
“Affordable Loans 5-7-9% are an important component of the “Made in Ukraine” economic policy. Since the beginning of the year, businesses have received more than 18,000 preferential loans worth about UAH 68 billion. In order to further provide support to Ukrainian businesses and enhance the effect on the economy, the government is constantly working to improve the program,” Deputy Economy Minister Andriy Teliupa said.
In amendments to the program, the Cabinet of Ministers clarified the conditions for support for enterprises operating in high military risk zones.
In addition, enterprises that were operating in areas of active hostilities and temporarily occupied territories as of February 22, 2022, are allowed to extend loans for financing working capital until December 31, 2026.
“Accordingly, enterprises will have more time and resources for recovery,” the ministry said.
In addition, the size of the basic remuneration of banks or lessors under financial leasing agreements has been reduced from 35% to 28%, which will optimize the financing of the program.
The government also unified the criteria for participation in the program of banks, lessors or factors, taking into account sanctions legislation.
“These changes will allow more financial institutions to participate in the program, which will have a positive impact on its accessibility for businesses,” the Economy Ministry said. (Government portal)
