In January-May, gambling organizers in Ukraine transferred UAH 7.38 billion in taxes and fees to the state budget. This was announced MP and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Finance Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram.
“As for tax revenues from the gambling business. In the first five months of the year, the budget received UAH 7.38 billion,” he posted.
The MP noted that revenues increased 3-fold compared to the same period in 2023, 38-fold compared to 2022 and 101 times more funds were received by the budget in 2021.
Zheleznyak emphasized that the increase in deductions occurred even “despite the fact that some operators were deprived of their licenses and that a significant part of economy remains in shadow”. (Ukrinform)
