In April, 7,400 public customers announced procurements through the Prozorro system for a total of UAH 78.5 billion. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiia Bihun.
“Despite the full-scale war, the public procurement sector continues to develop dynamically. We have already reached the level of procurement that existed before the full-scale invasion. Currently, about 80% of all public procurement funds are spent through Prozorro. The Ministry of Economy is currently working to improve the efficiency of procurement and implement the best European practices. In the near future, we will submit to the Verkhovna Rada draft amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On public procurement”. It should approve new tools to ensure the effectiveness of complex procurement, as well as those initiatives that have already demonstrated their effectiveness during the war, and, of course, bring our legislation closer to European standards,” said Nadiia Bihun.
According to her, in April, procuring entities announced a total of 39,700 procurements in Prozorro. The largest expenditures were planned for the repair and reconstruction of buildings (UAH 12.3 billion), medicines (UAH 5.7 billion), road works (UAH 4.7 billion) and electricity purchases (UAH 4.7 billion). Prozorro also announced competitive procurement of UAVs worth UAH 2.6 billion.
Last month, contracts worth UAH 56.9 billion were concluded through Prozorro, which was UAH 6.1 billion less than the expected value of those procurements. (Government portal)
