Power engineers continue to repair the damage caused by the massive attack on March 22. Despite the extent of the damage, the system is operating in a balanced manner. On March 23, a unit of the thermal power plant was shut down for an emergency, while another unit of the thermal power plant was brought back into operation.
Due to damage to the transmission system operator’s facilities, grid restrictions were applied in Odesa region on March 22 during peak load hours. At night, the restrictions were lifted, and all consumers had electricity. However, the situation may change, as the load on the grid increases.
All customers who were without power supply due to the previous attack in Khmelnytsky region had electricity.
The situation in Kharkiv remains the most complicated. Due to the extensive damage, it is currently impossible to supply power to all customers at the same time. To ensure that all consumers have access to electricity, we have introduced hourly restrictions for 200,000 customers. Critical infrastructure has been energised.
Last night, the enemy struck again at power facilities in the industrial Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the shelling of the 330 kV substation, equipment was disconnected and a number of substations supplying power to industry and the power facility were cut off.
The overhead line that provides backup power to ZNPP was once again disconnected. Its operation has been restored.
The fall of drone debris damaged power lines in the Kyiv region, cutting off power to 1,700 consumers in two settlements.
The enemy also attempted to hit a critical energy infrastructure facility in the Lviv region. Equipment caught fire and the facility was de-energised. There were no casualties. The consequences are being assessed.
A 110 kV overhead power line in Odesa was disconnected due to technological failures. As a result, household consumers, electric vehicles, and critical infrastructure facilities lost power. All consumers have been supplied with power. (Government portal)
