Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko has signed an order to establish a working group on debt repayment in the electricity market.
The group is to promptly develop an effective mechanism for balancing the financial condition of electricity market participants, in particular the transmission system operator, producers of electricity from alternative sources for which a green tariff is set and a guaranteed buyer.
The working group, chaired by German Galushchenko, included representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities, JSC Market Operator, NPC Ukrenergo, SE Guaranteed Buyer and representatives of specialised energy associations.
The resolution of the debt situation will contribute to improved payment discipline in the market, faster and better rehabilitation of the energy sector, strengthening the resilience and stability of the power system and increasing the reliability of electricity supply to the population.
