Poland wants to submit four further applications to the European Commission this year for payments of EU funds under the National Recovery Plan (KPO) of up to EUR 23 billion, the funds and regional policy minister Katarzyna Pelczynska has written on X.
“After the first payment request, we want to submit four more applications this year, up to EUR 23 billion,” Pelczynska said.
Poland submitted the first funds’ request under the KPO for EUR 6.9 billion to the European Commission in December 2023.
Polish access to the European funding has been blocked for a number of months owing to a rule-of-law dispute the previous government had with the EU. But the new government under Donald Tusk, the prime minister, has said it has made unlocking the funds a priority. (PAP/Business World Magazine)
