Last week, 452 entrepreneurs received loans under the Government’s Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% programme for a total of UAH 1.9 billion. Since the beginning of 2023, banks have granted 13,100 loans worth UAH 46.5 billion to businesses. Since the start of the programme in February 2020, 66,300 loans worth UAH 213.5 billion have been disbursed.
The largest share of loans was for anti-crisis purposes – UAH 61.2 billion and for anti-war purposes – UAH 54.3 billion. UAH 28.5 billion was disbursed to refinance previously obtained loans, UAH 17.4 billion to replenish working capital and UAH 14.9 billion for investment purposes. In addition, agricultural enterprises received UAH 32.4 billion in loans to support their operations, while trading companies borrowed UAH 3.1 billion to replenish working capital.
The most frequent borrowers under the programme are enterprises operating in the following sectors: agriculture (53%), trade and manufacturing (24%) and industrial processing (13%).
The leading regions in terms of the volume of loan agreements concluded are Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia regions and the city of Kyiv.
