On June 15, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal held an online meeting with Alfred Kammer, Director of the IMF’s European Department.
The Head of Government thanked the Fund’s team for their productive work on the first review of the $15.6-billion Extended Fund Facility, as well as for their appraisal of Ukraine’s progress.
“We expect that the arrangement reached at the staff level will be approved by the IMF Board of Directors as soon as possible. This will enable Ukraine to receive the next $900 million,” said Denys Shmyhal.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the issue of Ukraine’s recovery.
“We are working to attract additional funds from our partners and we expect that the conference in London will bring results,” the Head of the Ukrainian Government said. (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
