The National Bank of Poland (NBP) announced on June 14 that the institution had been honoured at the Central Banking Awards 2023 held in London.
NBP received the Central Banking “Currency Manager” Award for its money management in face of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Adam Glapinski, the head of the Polish central bank, as quoted in a NBP press release, said that the award “confirms the effectiveness of the attention given to the Polish currency and as well as to the money management of the National Bank of Poland.”
Also receiving the award was the National Bank of Ukraine.
This year’s event marks the tenth time that the Central Banking Awards have been presented. (PAP/Business World Magazine)
