Ukraine’s State Property Fund (SPF) has sold the Izmail Winery for UAH 200 million. The auction was held in the state electronic trading system Prozorro.Sales.
“On April 19, SPF held the online privatization auction for the sale of the Izmail Winery. At the auction, the value of the winery increased 11-fold (from UAH 17.9 million starting price to UAH 200 million winning price). Four bidders competed for the right to privatize the plant,” the SPF said.
The winery’s assets include a wine storage facility, a grape processing shop, bottling shops, a sparkling wine production shop, a finished goods warehouse, an exhibition complex and administrative buildings. The total area of the premises is 27,200 square meters. The assets are in Izmail, Odesa region, as well as in Suvorove, Plavni and Prymorske (recreation center) villages.
The winner of the auction has 20 business days to pay the price of the lot after the auction is completed. Only after the funds are in the budget will the sale and purchase agreement be signed. If the winner refuses to pay the winning amount, they will forfeit their guarantee fee of UAH 3.57 million (20% of the starting price). These funds will be credited to the state budget.
