Ukraine is counting on economic growth already this year and intends to continue cooperation with partners on solving key issues, including business security, logistics and attracting foreign investment.
“Ukraine has every opportunity to ensure economic growth this year. Despite the damage to the power grid, it now operates without disruption. We have all the necessary stocks of agricultural resources to start the sowing campaign. And business, in general, has already adjusted to work in new conditions,” First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko said during a meeting with European Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni.
The economic growth this year will depend primarily on improving the effectiveness of air defense, which protects business, attracting investments, as well as logistics on which the successful implementation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative depends.
“Also, we are trying to restore the activities of European insurance companies in Ukraine, for reinsurance that can be carried out by European states. All this should contribute to the economic and financial growth of business in our country,” Svyrydenko added. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
