Ukraine exported 3.1 million tons of corn in December 2022 that was a record monthly volume since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. It was up by 21% MoM, but down by 38% YoY.
China was the main destination for Ukrainian corn in December 2022. It imported 839.4 thousand tons of corn or 27% of the overall volume. Spain bought 485.9 thousand tons (16%) and Romania – 417.6 thousand tons (14%).
APK-Inform sees corn export from Ukraine at 23 million tons in the 2022-2023 MY with proper functioning of the “grain corridor”. It will be 15% less than in the 2021-2022 MY (27 million tons). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
