LTG Link, the passenger transport subsidiary of Lithuanian Railways, will start offering new destinations to Poland from December 11.
The daily train route will offer journeys to Warsaw, the Polish capital, and Krakow, the country’s second city, according to a press release.
Trains between Lithuania and Poland will run on the route Vilnius-Kaunas-Warsaw-Krakow. The new route will be operated in cooperation with the Polish carrier PKP Intercity.
The LTG Link train will run from Vilnius via Kaunas to Mockawa, where passengers will be invited to transfer to a train operated by PKP Intercity and continue their journey to the Polish city of their choice.
The journey from Vilnius to Warsaw will take around 9 hours with a change. A standard ticket to Warsaw will cost 25 euros and 30 euros to Krakow. (LRT/Business World Magazine)
