PKP Intercity, Poland’s leading passenger railway service, carried a record number of passengers as of mid-November.
Since January, PKP Intercity has serviced more than 50 million passengers, according to a statement released on November 17.
This is the best result since 2019 when, in the same period, nearly 49 million people traveled on the carrier’s trains, the company said.
In October, 5.2 million travelers used the services of PKP Intercity, and in September it was over 4.8 million passengers, the data from the railway operator showed.
During the Independence Day weekend (November 10-13), the 50-millionth passenger boarded an Intercity train, setting the record in the number of passengers in the company’s history, the carrier said. (The First News/Business World Magazine)
