Lithuania’s Ministry of Education, Science and Sport has allocated funding for Ukrainian athletes who have moved to Lithuania.
Funds will be disbursed via Lithuanian sport federations.
In total, 81,500 euros have been distributed to the federations representing seven sports.
The largest amounts – 20,000 euros and 19,000 euros, respectively – were allocated to the Lithuanian Swimming Federation and the Lithuanian Tennis Union, with 12,300 euros channeled to the Athletics Federation of Lithuania.
The Lithuanian Hockey Federation received 11,000 euros for Ukrainian athletes. Meanwhile, Ukrainian handball players will get 9,500 euros, bodybuilders – 6,000 euros and Kyokushin karate athletes – 3,700 euros. (LRT/Business World Magazine)
