Warsaw Chopin Airport serviced 10.7 million passengers in the first nine months of the year, three quarters of what it handled before the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Since the beginning of the year, Warsaw’s airport has serviced almost 10,700,000 passengers, which is 74.5% of the figure recorded during the same period in the pre-pandemic year 2019,” the airport said in a news release on October 20.
Over 90% of passengers traveled on international routes, including 60% within the Schengen zone.
In September alone, Warsaw Chopin Airport serviced 1.59 million passengers, or 85% of the September 2019 figure.
Poland’s national airline LOT serviced the most passengers between January and September, close to 5.5 million. (The First News/Business World Magazine)
