Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko had a phone call with U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, discussing measures to counter Russian terrorism in the energy sector.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
Halfway through the call, Galushchenko emphasized that large-scale Russian attacks on energy facilities throughout Ukraine had been going on almost continuously for more than a week already.
“He emphasized that now more than ever, the consolidation of international efforts was needed to confront Russia on the energy front and attract help to protect and restore Ukraine’s energy sector,” the Ministry of Energy reports.
In turn, Granholm assured her interlocutor that the USA would continue to provide maximum assistance to and support Ukraine at all levels for as long as the country needed it. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
