The Ukrainian energy system has already stabilized, but Ukrainians should reduce electricity consumption during peak hours. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a government meeting on October 14.
“On October 13, we managed to stabilize electricity supply throughout the country after attacks by Russian terrorists on our energy infrastructure on October 10-12,” Shmyhal said.
He emphasized that now the energy system was working stably, but the carrying capacity of major energy networks had been reduced due to numerous damages caused by Russia’s missile attacks. According to Shmyhal, power companies need time to resume electricity supply to all consumers. He also called on citizens to voluntarily reduce consumption during the day, especially, during the morning and evening peaks of consumption.
He also thanked Ukrainian power engineers for their professionalism and courage. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
