The CEO of PKO BP bank, Poland’s largest lender, has quit her job.
Iwona Duda has held the post since January. Her resignation was effective from August 9, the bank said in a statement.
No reason was given for Duda’s departure.
At the same time, Pawel Gruza has been appointed as PKO BP bank’s deputy CEO and acting CEO effective as of August 10.
PKO BP will now seek the consent of Poland’s financial market regulator, KNF, to make him CEO.
Gruza previously worked as deputy Finance Minister and as metals giant KGHM deputy CEO responsible for foreign assets. (The First News/Business World Magazine)
