The small and medium enterprises will benefit from a financial assistance in order to enhance the competitiveness at export. The parliament on July 15 ratified an agreement on loan with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and an agreement on financing with the International Development Association (IDA).
Economics Minister Sergiu Gaibu unveiled the documents in the parliament’s plenum. According to the official, the overall volume of the assistance amounts to 47.5 million euros, of which 17.7 million euros is the IBRD loan and 29.8 million euros – IDA’s assistance.
“The goal of the financing programme is to reduce the burden and costs of regulation for the business environment, facilitate the access to financing, enhance the capacity of the loan guaranteeing fund, as well as increase the competitiveness at export,” Sergiu Gaibu said.
The duration of the support programme for small and medium enterprises is five years. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
