The state enterprise, Railway of Moldova (CFM) will go through a complex reform in the next two years, the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR) said.
According to the institution, the process of reorganization and development of the enterprise’s institutional capacity will be attentively monitored and supervised by a working group, made up of representatives of the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry, Railway of Moldova, National Commission of Financial Market, Public Property Agency, Land Relations and Cadastre Agency and Public Services Agency.
“The first goal of the working group is to monitor the action plan for 2022-2024. Among the principal activities due to be implemented on this period, there are: the CFM’s reorganization from State Enterprise into Stock Company; CFM’s division into two independent stock companies: a unit in charge of the railway infrastructure and another one competent with the transport of passengers and goods,” MIDR said.
Also, it is about the creation of three railway authorities: on the safety of the railway transport and consumers’ protection, on investigation of railway accidents and incidents and on the regulation of the market of railway transport services, etc. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
