The National Motor Transport Agency (ANTA) has received an additional quota of three hundred bilateral / transit authorizations for the transport of goods on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan this year.
According to the agency’s order, the quota was included in the list of Category III authorizations for 2022, in order to use rationally and avoid the risk of depletion in a short period of time, taking into account the increased demand for permits by operators.
“Following the analysis of the use of bilateral / transit Azerbaijan permits, it was found that in 2021 the actual parked fleet was 21 trucks. At the same time, in order to carry out the transport operations in transit on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation and the countries of Central Asia, for the current period it was estimated the use of over 3000 vehicles,” indicates ANTA.
According to the institution, on January 1 – February 23, 14 bilateral / transit Azerbaijan permits were issued, and between February 24 and March 23, 83 permits were issued, indicating a significant increase in requests from transport operators.
Authorizations granted by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall be valid until January 31, 2023. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
