As of January 1, 11 banks provided loans for a total sum of UAH 7.35 billion under state guarantees on a portfolio basis, the Finance Ministry’s press service reported.
“As part of the support for micro-, small- and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine through the instrument of state guarantees on a portfolio basis, as of January 1, 11 banks provided 2,652 loans for a total sum of UAH 7.350 billion. Liabilities on principal partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis amounted to UAH 3.201 billion. This is about 81% of the total limit of guarantees provided in 2020 (UAH 3.930 billion),” reads the report.
In December 2021, banks provided 450 loans for a total sum of UAH 554 million, with a debt obligation of UAH 263 million.
In terms of the number of issued loans, JSC CB PrivatBank is in the lead – 1,339 loans worth UAH 1.051 billion, which is about 99% of the limit of such guarantees provided to this bank in 2020. It is followed by JSC Oschadbank – 810 loans worth UAH 2.379 billion.
The largest amount of loans was provided in the city of Kyiv – 273 loans worth UAH 1.042 billion.
The largest amounts of loans partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis were issued in the spheres of wholesale and retail trade (998 loans worth UAH 2.398 billion), agriculture (664 loans worth UAH 2.150 billion) and processing industry (418 loans worth UAH 1.661 billion).
