The Tbilisi City Assembly has approved the Tbilisi municipal budget for 2022, which has increased by 255.115 million GEL and totals 1.305 billion GEL (about $423.9 million or EUR 374.5 million).
The financial document was adopted with 35 votes in favour and five against.
Deputy Tbilisi Mayor Irakli Khmaladze stated that one of the priorities of the Tbilisi budget would be transport infrastructure construction and restoration, stating that 100 million GEL would be allocated to purchase subway trains, while 60 million GEL would be used for the construction of new motor transport depots.
The Georgian parliament approved the updated state budget 2022 for Georgia on December 17, 2021 planned with an economic growth forecast of 6% and totaling 19.1 billion GEL. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
