President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 25 inked a law on amendments to the Tax Code. The document was adopted by the Legislative Chamber on October 19 and approved by the Senate on October 21.
According to the document, in the period from October 10 to December 31, turnover on the sale of meat (beef, lamb, chicken), live animals (livestock and poultry) and their slaughter products, potatoes and frozen fish, as well as their import into the territory of Uzbekistan are exempt from value-added tax.
The law came into force on October 26, but it also applies to relations arising from October 10. (Uzreport/Business World Magazine)
